Our Response to COVID-19
Amidst the COVID-19 crisis, safety is the top priority for all students and members. In response to these unforeseen circumstances, the team at SMOA is working tirelessly to provide online camps and tutoring sessions for students across the state of Maryland.
74 million children live in the United States. 15 million of them live in poverty.
High School students in low-income families face drop out rates 4 times greater than students from high-income families.
We believe that this represents a growing trend of educational inequality. Educational equality is necessary for all students to gain fair chances for a successful future.
